The Boot Fitting Process

Finding the right hoof boot is about more than simply matching measurements to a size chart. Every horse is unique, and my goal is to help you find a boot solution that keeps your horse comfortable and supports the type of riding you enjoy.

The process begins with a brief phone call or email to discuss your horse, your riding goals, and any specific challenges you may be experiencing. Whenever possible, I prefer to conduct fittings in person and am willing to travel to help horses and riders throughout the region.

During the fitting, we will evaluate your horse's hooves and try a variety of boot options to determine which style and size are most likely to provide the best fit and performance. I carry and fit Scoot Boots, Easy Boots, and Flex Boots, allowing us to compare different designs and find the option that works best for your horse.

Because I genuinely want both horses and riders to succeed, I offer a guarantee on boots purchased through me. After your fitting, you will have two weeks to use your new boots. Whether you're trail riding, conditioning, competing, or simply enjoying time with your horse, I understand that real-world use is the best way to determine whether a boot truly meets your needs.

One important thing to understand is that boot fitting is not always a one-and-done process. Sometimes small adjustments are needed before the ideal fit is achieved, and that's completely normal. In fact, one of the most common frustrations I hear from people who have purchased boots elsewhere is that the fit wasn't quite right, but they didn't realize there were options to improve it. Different boot models, sizing adjustments, pads, gaiters, and fit modifications can often make a significant difference. I am committed to helping you work through those adjustments when needed, but it's important to understand from the beginning that achieving the best fit may take a little fine-tuning along the way.
